  • 3 cups cooked chicken shredded or cubed
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 lb beef bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots keep frozen
  • green onions sliced, optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch seasoning until smooth.
  • Fold in cooked chicken, half of the bacon, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix well.
  • Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • Top with frozen tater tots arranged in a single layer.
  • Sprinkle remaining cheese and bacon over the tater tots.
  • Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes until hot and golden. Optional: broil for 2–3 minutes to crisp the top.
  • Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with green onions if desired.

Notes

Soften cream cheese before mixing to avoid lumps. Arrange tater tots in a single layer for even crisping. Optional vegetables like broccoli or peas can be added. This casserole can be assembled ahead and refrigerated or frozen before baking.
