  • 6 hot dogs halved
  • 1 package crescent dough cut into triangles
  • 6 slices cheddar or American cheese cut to fit hot dogs
  • 2 tbsp butter melted, for brushing
  • sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cut each hot dog in half. Place a slice of cheese on one side of each hot dog.
  • Unroll crescent dough and cut into triangles. Wrap each hot dog and cheese with a dough triangle, starting from the wide end.
  • Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed. Serve warm with ketchup or mustard.

Notes

  • Don’t overfill with cheese to prevent leaks.
  • Wrap tightly and bake only until golden for best results.
