Pat the chicken breasts dry and season them with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in honey, soy sauce, and water. Let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened. Optionally, add cornstarch dissolved in a bit of water to help thicken the sauce.
Return the chicken to the pan and coat each piece with the warm honey garlic sauce. Simmer for 2 more minutes until glossy and caramelized.
Serve the chicken with extra sauce drizzled on top. Pairs well with rice, noodles, or roasted vegetables.
Notes
Don’t overcook the chicken or burn the garlic. This dish can be prepped ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently to preserve moisture.
