Equipment

  • Skillet

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 4 chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp cornstarch optional, for thicker sauce

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry and season them with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in honey, soy sauce, and water. Let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened. Optionally, add cornstarch dissolved in a bit of water to help thicken the sauce.
  • Return the chicken to the pan and coat each piece with the warm honey garlic sauce. Simmer for 2 more minutes until glossy and caramelized.
  • Serve the chicken with extra sauce drizzled on top. Pairs well with rice, noodles, or roasted vegetables.
