  • 2 bananas ripe but firm
  • 1 box vanilla instant pudding mix preferably Jello brand (3.4 oz)
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 container whipped topping such as Cool Whip (8 oz)
  • 1 box vanilla wafers

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, whisk the instant pudding mix with cold milk until smooth and thick.
  • Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Fold in the whipped topping until fully combined and creamy.
  • Layer vanilla wafers at the bottom of a dish or dessert cups.
  • Slice bananas and place them over the wafers.
  • Spoon a layer of the pudding mixture over the bananas. Repeat layers until the dish is full.
  • Finish with a final layer of pudding and whipped topping. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Use ice-cold milk for quicker pudding set.
  • Don’t use overripe bananas to avoid sogginess.
  • Chill for at least 2 hours for best texture.
