  • 2 cups pecan halves toasted
  • 24 soft caramel candies unwrapped
  • 1 cup chocolate chips milk or dark chocolate
  • sea salt optional, for sprinkling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Arrange 3 pecans together in clusters to form the turtle legs.
  • Place one caramel candy on top of each pecan cluster. Bake for 4–5 minutes until caramel softens.
  • Remove from oven and gently press the caramel to spread slightly. Let cool for 5 minutes.
  • Melt chocolate chips in the microwave in 20-second intervals until smooth. Spoon over caramel layer.
  • Sprinkle with sea salt if desired. Chill in the fridge for 15–20 minutes until set.

Notes

  • Use fresh pecans and soft caramel for best results. Toasting the nuts enhances flavor.
