Ingredients
  

Cake Ball Base

  • 2 cups cake crumbs leftover or store-bought cake, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup frosting

Chocolate Coating

  • 8 oz white or dark chocolate chopped or chips
  • 1 tsp butter or oil for smooth melting
  • edible glitter or sprinkles for decoration

Instructions
 

  • Crumble your cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl using your hands or a fork.
  • Add frosting one spoonful at a time, mixing until the mixture holds together when pressed.
  • Shape small balls using your hands or a scoop and place them on a parchment-lined tray.
  • Freeze the cake balls for 15 minutes to firm them up.
  • Melt chocolate with a teaspoon of butter or oil until smooth, then dip each chilled cake ball using a fork.
  • Return dipped cake balls to tray and decorate immediately with sprinkles or edible glitter.

Notes

  • Don’t use too much frosting just enough to bind.
  • Always chill the cake balls before dipping for a smooth coating.
  • Great make ahead dessert for festive occasions.
