Ingredients
  

Casserole Mixture

  • 8 oz cooked pasta slightly undercooked to prevent mushiness
  • 1 lb ground beef browned
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp butter for greasing and cooking
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish lightly with butter.
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Add onions and garlic, stirring until fragrant.
  • Mix the cooked beef with cream of mushroom soup, pasta, peas, and half the cheese.
  • Pour the mixture into your baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Top with the remaining cheese and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  • Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving warm and creamy.

Notes

To avoid a mushy texture, slightly undercook the pasta before baking. Always season with salt and pepper to enhance the rich ingredients. Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
