Cheese Ball Mix
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese extra sharp recommended
- 1 head garlic roasted
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp fresh herbs chopped parsley, chives, or rosemary
- salt and pepper to taste
Coating
- 1/2 cup crushed pecans or walnuts
- 1 tbsp fresh herbs optional, for garnish
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the top off the garlic head, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 40 minutes. Let cool and squeeze out the cloves.
In a stand mixer or with a sturdy spatula, blend softened cream cheese and cheddar until smooth.
Fold in the roasted garlic, Worcestershire sauce, herbs, salt, and pepper. Chill for 1 hour.
Shape into mini cheese balls or one large cheese ball. Roll in crushed pecans and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Wrap for gifting or refrigerate until serving. Best served with crackers, crostini, or pretzel sticks.
