  • Parchment Paper
  • Toothpicks or Decorative Picks

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 12 oz smoked sausage sliced into ½-inch rounds
  • 1 cup whole cranberry sauce use whole berries
  • 6 oz sharp white cheddar cheese cut into small cubes
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary finely chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  • Place sausage slices in a single layer on the sheet pan. Roast for 15–18 minutes until browned and sizzling.
  • While sausage cooks, cube the cheese and separate whole cranberries from the sauce.
  • Let sausage cool for 8–10 minutes to prevent cheese from melting too quickly.
  • Assemble each bite: top sausage slice with a cube of cheddar and a whole cranberry. Skewer with a pick and sprinkle with rosemary.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • To add a bonus layer of flavor, try spreading a little grainy mustard on the sausage before adding the cheddar and cranberry.
  • For variation, swap rosemary with orange zest or try different cheeses like Havarti or Pepper Jack.
  • These bites can be kept warm in a 200°F oven for longer gatherings.
