Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin sliced thin
  • 3 cups broccoli florets fresh, medium pieces

Sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water

Instructions
 

  • Slice the beef into thin strips and place in a bowl.
  • Cut broccoli into medium florets and rinse well.
  • Stir soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger in a small bowl to make the sauce.
  • Heat a large skillet on medium and add a touch of oil.
  • Add the beef and cook until the edges turn brown.
  • Pour in the sauce and let it bubble for 2–3 minutes.
  • Add broccoli and simmer until bright green and tender.
  • Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the pan.
  • Let the sauce thicken for 1–2 minutes, then serve warm over rice or noodles.

Notes

You can freeze the beef and sauce mixture for later use. Add broccoli only during final cooking to preserve its texture. Great for crockpot prep too—just add broccoli in the final hour.
